Disabled the mpdwatchdog fixed the non English 5 sec replay issue. Really appreciate for your kindly help.
Will further test on it and report if there is any other finding.

BTW, I found that some Chinese character in flie tag cannot display properly. Do you have any advise to fix this problem? Thx.

Hi Frank,
One more hints for my chinese character issue.
The problem just happen on WAV file. There is no problem on FLAC, m4a, dsf file.

I tried to convert the file from wav to flac, the chinese character in file tag display properly. However, if I convert the flac file to wav again, the chinese character display issue occurred again.

Hi Acml,

In my case, I use iPad to control, Chinese and Japanese display well.
But character shown as rectangulars on WaveShare 7" IPS display which connected direct to C2.

Hi Frank,

As Elvis Mok, I stop and disable mpd-watchdog,
songs with non English metadata now will not restart after 5-9 sec playing.

But I find that metadata of second song will update with 15 sec delay.

Hi all,

"mpd-watchdog" is responsible for this bug (songs start again after 5 seconds).
Easy fix for now:
- get access to the console

systemctl disable mpd-watchdog

- reboot via UI

It is working and can play the non English character song now.
Having another listening same problem as ragious - On my DAC the DSD native does result in a very unpleasant noise, however when set to DSD(DOP) everything is just perfect. Sounds very good as well.

Been testing with UPNP using 'cast to' context menu in Windows 10. I am amazed that the C2 is able to play streamed 24/192 flac's (from Windows to Rune ) without a hitch (using a USB DAC, that is). Anything above 16/44 failed on my PI2.
This is very useful if you're just checking out / auditing some tracks on your PC and want to know how they sound on you rune-box + DAC combination.

No, there is no chance to display the album cover.
Only thing we can do is to search the web for a cover and display that.
MPD treads music played via UPnP as streams, so we have no access to the file directly.
