Orange PI PC Image

Postby LaughterOnWater » 14 Feb 2016, 22:19

I bought an inexpensive Orange Pi PC off aliexpress, and I'm looking for something fun to do with it.
How about a Rune Audio image for Orange Pi PC?
It's comparable to the Raspberry Pi 2B.
There are other flavors or OPi, but this is the one I have.
It also has an IR interface, so it could be controlled with a remote.

Hi LaughterOnWater, we'd love to add that to our supported platforms, but we'll need a maintainer for that. How are you Linux skills? :)

Out of curiosity, what specific Linux skills would be required, and what is entailed in being a maintainer for a new platform? I'm interested in potentially using RuneAudio to build several small "stereo systems" for my children using OrangePi (for price), and so if there's some work to be done in maintaining such a thing, I might be able to look into it, but I'd need to have a good idea of what would be required.

Enabling some different kernel modules or options for a custom kernel compile, no big deal.

Writing new kernel modules, probably not going to happen!

Be minder - I am not.
Be some one to have a go at building Rune Audio on a Orange - I am willing.
What Distro would I start with?

Hi,

EDIT: Sorry to hijack this thread about the OrangePI PC.

I understand that Orange Pi will not support it?
