First to say: RuneAudio looks&feels great. having tried other players before, but with even more quirks ...
As I'm running my Pi with a static IP-address, I ran into the same problem as others before: After Reboot the interface came up without an IP-adress. So - no ip-connect, no RuneAudio, no headless system ...
Finally i got it working:
1) The netmask in
/etc/netctl/eth0
was not in correct format (/255.255.255.0 instead of /24).
I corrected it to:
Description='eth0 connection'
Interface=eth0
ForceConnect=yes
SkipNoCarrier=yes
Connection=ethernet
AutoWired=yes
IP=static
Address=('192.168.1.16/24')
Gateway='192.168.1.111'
DNS=('192.168.1.1' '5.9.49.12')
ExecUpPost='/usr/bin/ntpd -gq || true'
After that
netctl start eth0
worked (was throwing an error before)
2) Finally
netctl enable eth0
made it working after reboot.
Sorry, I have to correct: The interface is working fine, but RuneAudio shows ony spinning arrows.
This solution by mrrnb works better.
No idea, why
netctl makes problems,
network@eth0.service not ...
