Native DSD Bryston BDA-3

Postby joeycorleone » 30 Dec 2016, 06:00

Hello,

Rasberry Pi 2B running USB to Bryston BDA-3 DAC. I am running the latest dev train build. DSD over PCM (DoP) works great!

However, the Bryston supports native DSD. Seems that the ALSA and Linux kernel version in rune have the ability to do native. I also saw in the Linux native DSD project that they added support for this DAC August, 2016.

If I set rune for DSD native, it sends out 352 Khz PCM.

Is there anything I can do to get it to send native DSD? I understand DoP is still DSD to the DAC in the end, I am just curious and would love to get it working.
