Does anyone know how I can operate this dac with runeaudio at 384KHZ?
I tried to use another kernel, but the whole system stops working.

Hi sunbuterr,
Assuming you are using a ESS ES9028Q2M DAC with I2S input, you need the "HifiberryDac" driver.
There are issues with many products using ESS chipsets and ESS do not publish their chipset documentation, that doesn’t really help. The good news is that these problems are often similar and most have solutions, you should search the forum for details (search for ‘Sabre’).
If you need any more help include your debug data and exactly identify the type of DAC (photo or link).

As already mentioned by janui, we need more information about your system.

Hi sunbuterr,

have you tried to use the HifiBerry DAC as output option?

This can be done by editing the file "/boot/config.txt"
Code: Select all
dtoverlay=hifiberry-dac
