forschi Unable to start on RPI 3b+ Connected to HDMI only shows color spectrum image Connecting to runeaudio.local or IP doesn't work either
Cyborg_delta1 I don't know if this intentional or a bug but the random/shuffle setting what ever you want to call it is repeating songs from a playlist I had it at one point where out of 10 songs the same song was played 7 times. Its as if when the song ends it resets the playlist and picks the song it just played not pick songs at random until the playlist is exhausted. Is there any way to have it set up so when on random/shuffle it will randomises the playlist on the first song and play through that list rather then picking a song at random at the end of every song resulting in the same song being repeated?
shamsmehra90 RuneAudio is a new-born project and we still are in a early development stage, so in the first beta releases some features are limited and there could still be some small bugs. mcdvoice mybkexperience
Lancelot Hiya Guy's Is it possible to also post those Rune Audio files with a torrent? The files are big and sometimes the downloads breakdown.
Ears of Tin This version is the latest and greatest for all including the RPi4: https://github.com/rern/rAudio-1
tomp Thanks for the pointer to rAudio-1, but I haven't had luck with that version. Is development on this branch dead? If so, I'm tempted to try a Pi 4 build myself. None of the more recent versions have matched the reliability or speed of this version. At least not for me.
Ears of Tin Julian M1 wroteHi, Which version of RuneAudio should I install on my new Pi 4B? Thanks. Use this version https://github.com/rern/rAudio-1 RuneAudio 0.5 was probably my longest tenured image and it worked well for me. RuneAudio+Re6 added a number of enhancements that I now consider indispensable (Bluetooth, automatic updates) so I upgraded. It now goes by the name rAudio.
Julian M1 Hi Ears, Thanks for the fast reply. That should work fine for me and I am looking forward to the BT 5.0 of the Pi 4B

Both +Re6 and rAudio-1 are fan made versions of RuneAudio, and are very good with so many more extras than the original developers versions.
Julian M1 Hi, I have tried out the rAudio 1 version which I was able to stumble into installing and running. I am new to the Pi... I am seeing an issue with the Android connection and I do not know where I can find user help or documents on this. The Android app cannot see my setup (but the http:// one works nicely on WLAN). Android app is kind of a must. Is there some setup covering this? Sorry, this is probably a greenhorn issue... Thanks, Julian
Ears of Tin Julian M1, are you able to access the player by entering the ip address into a browser? Are you referring to the official ”RuneAudio" app from the Google play store? Rather than use the app I bookmark the ip address and add it to the home screen of each of my devices. I don't think the app adds much value other than enabling volume control from the device when in software mixer mode which I don't enable. I did pull up the app just to see if it works with rAudio. From my experience it never successfully finds the player on first launch. Instead I swipe from the left screen edge and then at the bottom tap "support and credits" followed by "manually add". Enter your device ip address and add. In summary the app works if you know the ip address. But if you already know the ip address then browser access is good enough for me.
cmh714 the "app" works just fine using IP.....swipe from left edge to the right and you can enter it in. HTH
