0.3 Beta on Udoo schedule

Devox wrotewav files can't contain an ID3-Tag.

Actually there is a documented standard, but most tagging programs do not support it.
Volumio WebGui can read them but it can't see CD #, I bet RuneAudio is similar.

You better ask Raspberry Pi/RuneAudio owners.

Hi,
all my wave files got the id3 tag contained. It worked with dbPoweramb..

Hi I was just wondering if there is any news on when the Udoo version will be available to download?

We are completing the rework of the Network section, which initially only was meant to be an update for the 0.3-beta, but ended to form the incoming 0.4 release, which will be released gradually for all the platforms. BBB and UDOO are first in line waiting the update. An ETA could be beginning of January... but please don't take it as a promise

That'd be sweet!

That's great thanks for the reply, I'm really looking forward to trying it out.

Do you mean the beginning of February?

ACX

Oops sorry... yes I meant beginning-middle of february.

I will keep my fingers crossed!

Sorry for the wait but we have been overwhelmed by work all January. We are going to see the light at the end of the tunnel in some days, so we will come back soon to the 0.4 development. Have faith!

Kilgore

No Worries....I know it is getting closer all the time.
(My Birthday is at the end of the month so I've got my fingers crossed that the 0.4 release will be a nice present!)

any news?

yoghurtlidlicker

I still believe!!!

I want to believe too... my RPi can't handle my large library and I can't wait to ditch Volumio.

dm68

Is there an updated ETA yet?

ACX

dm68 wroteIs there an updated ETA yet?

Not yet, we can just say that it will come after the 0.4 release for the Rpi. In the meanwhile, if anybody has some good Linux skills and wants to give us some help, please tell us: that will speed up the development and shorten the wait.

Kilgore

With the recent 'Now officially supported Cubietruck (Cubieboard3)' announcement, does this mean that the Udoo implementation is approaching? (fingers crossed

)

ACX

UDOO will receive the 0.4 update right after the Rpi release.

Kilgore

Hi ACX. Still on track for 0.4?
How would you compare the suitability of CubieTruck over Udoo for Rune implementation? I'm getting tempted to jump ship.

If you are tired to wait (and I could understand that

), the Cubietruck is a very good platform to run RuneAudio on. Frank's image is already fully usable, and the board is stable and feature rich. Since the release it found its place in my living room connected to my main Hi-Fi equipment
