Hi,
C1 arrived today, flashed the image and started testing
First,
this is my debug info
Connected to my NAS and let the library do it's update in peace...
I did not manage to get the default HDMI audio out working.
Setting mpd to verbose logging shows: "All audio outputs are disabled" --> mpd would not start playing.
Did not spend much time on it really, HDMI audio was just for a quick test, not what I plan to use. Still, needs to be looked into for those who use an HDMI audio splitter.
Connected my USB XMOS 384K/32bit DAC, switched and all is OK, no clicks, no pops, no stutter, plays up to 352.8 kHz, 2822 kbps (stereo, dsd bit).
Have not yet noticed any difference with the X2 I just ported RuneAudio to, they're both a lot faster than a PI, the C1 is just a lot cheaper
What I did notice are the same network problems, configured a static IP but to no avail.
The UI does change eth0 in /etc/netctl to a static profile with the correct address, but obviously this eth0 profile does not get enabled.
DHCP is still being used. I will leave it that way for the time being.
There is also a problem somewhere with nmbd and smbd services, have not looked into it yet either, the X2 does not seem to have those issues.
Another thing I noticed when you reboot from the commandline:
PolicyKit daemon disconnected from the bus.
We are no longer a registered authentication agent.
g_dbus_connection_real_closed: Remote peer vanished with error: Underlying GIOStream returned 0 bytes on an async read (g-io-error-quark, 0). Exiting.

The system is going down for reboot NOW!
@[deleted]: Did you by any chance install gstreamer0.10-good-plugins ? I remember this from the X2 port and then had similar problems, it installs polkit-0.112-2, which is not in the base ARCH Linux image for the C1. Are the gstreamer packages needed?
And to finish: thank you very much for all the work already done, will do more testing during the weekend.
Cheers - Gé
