[Tips] Audio File Manipulation Tools
(for Windows)

CD > flac
Exact Audio Copy - a so called audio grabber for audio CDs using standard CD and DVD-ROM drives.

Single-file-album > file-per-track
wav > flac

CUETools - a tool for lossless audio/CUE sheet format conversion.

Non Red Book wav > flac
FLAC Frontend - a convenient way for Windows users not used to working with command lines to use the official FLAC tools.

dff > dsf (to be able to add tag)
DFF2DSF
    shift+right-click folder > Open PowerShell window here
    Code: Select all
    dff2dsf 'path/file.dff' 'path/file.dsf'

      - press 'tab' to auto complete file path and name.
      - each command for each file, no wildcard.
SACD iso > DSD dsf
ISO2DSF by Bogi - read album tracks from SACD ISO file and to convert them to DSF files.

    - how to: ISOtoDSFv122.pdf extracted from the downloaded file
    - additional files:
    - folder must be .../ISO2DSF/

Tag / Tag <> Filename

Album art

MusicBrainz Picard is another powerful open-source music tagger / tag editor. It supports multiple file types, MP3, FLAC, OGG etc, and has a large collection of plug-ins for a variety of tasks.

Also MP3GAIN to set ReplayGain tags for MP3 files (see: http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net) https://sourceforge.net/projects/mp3gain/
