Sound very low with USB DAC Dacmagic plus

Hello,

I connect a RPI3 with Dacmagicplus via USB but sound level is very low. i have to increase to volume to highest level on DAC and AVR to hear something with a lot of distorstion.
Tried differents options for volume control on runaudio/MPD settings
It works perfectly with volumio so i dont think the DAC is the issue. put the log here http://pastebin.com/xFMAQ2sD
Version used is the latest RuneAudio_rpi2_rp3_0.4-beta_20160321_2GB
Any idea ?

Try checking alsamixer levels.
Also check for Hardware/Software volume controls in the MPD tab in the UI settings.

Hello,

with alsamixer i cannot change any volume level, however i can see that cambridge audio dac is selected (version 2.0)
Any thoughts ?

Finally and could be a coincidence, my Cambridge DACMAGICplus seems to have an hw issue.
Sound level is low (have to push volume to higest with distortion to hear something). Tested a CD player same issue.
The steps i have followed are :
volumio usb audio 1.0 => OK
change on DAC from usb audio 1.0 to 2.0 for 192 Khz support
volumio usb audio 2.0 => OK
change from volumio to runeaudio and it did not work (low volume issue).
Now i put a Hifiberry DAC+ Pro but it is not recognised.
Do i need something to enable the IS DAC driver ?
it works perfectly with volumio.
