Runeaudio+Odroid C+ Freezing Problem

Postby bongieto » 17 Feb 2016, 01:27

I got an Odroid C+ installed with the latest Rune Audio Build. However, it keeps freezing. Sometimes just a few minutes after booting and sometimes after a few hours. It is just unreliable. It just stop responding and the music stops too. I reimaged it multiple times already to no avail. Any suggestion? Thanks!

I only have my USB dac (TEAC UD501) plus a single USB flash drive. I'm connected to the network via ethernet jack. I am trying to isolate the issue maybe its not compatible with the DAC? I'll do some more observation hopefully I can identify whats causing this issue. Thanks

Do you see any error?

This is the problem of the bogus Teac USB interface in UD-501/UD-503. Freezing happens when frequency of the sound files changes. This has already been been fixed in the mainline kernel.

You need at least kernel 3.10.98 (Odroid has 3.10.80).

By the way,t he new Raspberry Pi2/3 includes that quirk and the UD-503 runs for days without freezing.
