Frank, thank you for your time.

Is anyone else having a problem getting Allo Kali and Piano DAC to work with this version?
Only thing to do is to:
- select the correct DAC on the settings page
- save and applay
- reboot
- select the DAC on the MPD config page.

I thought so. That is exactly what I did except selected "Allo Piano DAC" (I don't have a 2.1), so I will reinstall and try 2.1 to see if that works. If not, I will post debug info.

EDIT: Well, selecting the "Allo Piano 2.1" then apply, and then reboot, did not show a Allo Piano DAC in the MPD config page... Only after I selected the "Allo Piano DAC", apply then reboot did a "Allo Piano DAC (I2s)" appeared. The interface works properly, but no sound in headphones or receiver. :( I am attaching a debug file hoping it helps. http://pastebin.com/yKN23rfh

Hi Frank
I have been using 0.4 for a week or so now but have been experiencing 5-10 second silences in the middle of songs. The songs don't skip they just stop then carry on where they stopped. I reverted back to 0.3 and everything is fine?

RPI 3
iqaudio Digi+
WHS2011 NAS as NFS share over powerline

Cheers

Having used the Song Info many times I've only just hit the 'Read more on Lastfm' link and found that it opens in the same browser window. Not a big issue but it would be better to have it open in a new window.

Another thought - would song info be possible for radio and Spotify?

I have a strange issue on RuneAudio 0.4

RPI3 - Allo Boss + Allo Volt
Hardware volume control

When I change the volume the level is very low. Pretty inaudible until 50. Medium at 100, much lower than other software (so not an hardware limit).
I get into ALSA mixer and I can see that volume in ALSA grows in a different manner: 0 and 100 are the same but 50 on volume knob is about 7 in alsa mixer, after that the volume grows faster but in a different way between ALSA and Volume knob.

Any idea?

Thanks for all your hard work Frank! 0.4 is working on my pi2 v1.2. It's good to be back on rune.

The new version boots up way quicker and has a snappier interface than the system I was previously using.

I am suffering from the same as the above post however. I have an allo piano 2.0 and it is very quiet. If I tell rune I'm using an iqaudio dac + it's the correct volume.

Hi medioevo, hi thedman!,

this is strange because my ALLO Piano 2.1 and ALLO Boss work like they should.
Output level is correct on both DACs.

Please navigate to:
http://yourPI-IP:8080
and check the "Analogue Playback" settings, should be 100%.

This is a known issue. We have to find a solution for this with next release.
But at 100% it should be 0db.

The analog output is 100% but the digital playback was down at 47% (i think it was that), Then I unlocked the sliders and moved both sliders to the right as far as I could, this brought the volume up to what I would expect. However the number on the sliders are a bit bizarre. front left is 100% but front right is 207%. The output from each speaker appears to be the same.

Moving the front right down to 100% also brings from left down to 48% and cuts the volume to the right speaker to what I would say is nothing.

Moving front left to zero and leaving front right at 100% gives zero volume from both speakers.

Putting front left at 0 and front right to 207% gives good sound from the right speaker.

The tonality from each speaker is very different. I'll run some tests to see if this occurs with only Rune in a bit.

With the sliders unlinked, moving front right moves the front left, example: moving front right to 93% moves front left to 45%, FR to 62 puts FL to 30. FR to 23% puts FL at 11%. But moving front left does not move front right.

Locking the sliders makes them move together and interestingly when linking and sliding all the way the right puts them both at 100% and the output volume is the same - as loud as I expect. Unsure of tonality.

Rebooting the pi keeps the sound as set. Essentially problem now fixed. I'm gonna investigate the tonality.

For info, I'm on a pi2 v1.2, allo piano 2.0 and allo volt+ . When I talk about the right speaker, this is the one connected to the right speaker connectors on the volt+.

Hope this helps.

Dave

I can't notice any different in tonality with the sliders linked at 100% and unlinked at 100%, I think that may have been a false alarm. Sorry!

I see my version of Rune is 0.4 but I don't have any improve interface.
I didn't install 0.4-beta, but I did set for auto-update.
