Rune audio vs Roonlabs endpoint

Postby bope52 » 20 Sep 2016, 20:34

Hi all,

I have a RP 3 with hifiberry digi+ board.
Connected through eth0.
Installed the latest version of rune audio.

On the same setup I have (on another sd card) installed the roonlabs 'endpoint' image. Roonlabs core installed on a headless win10 mini pc.

Both work ok up to 96 khz 24 bit files

When I want to play a 192 khz 24 bit file though, rune audio stutters a lot.

Playing the same file on roon works without a problem.

Any idea what the issue could be?

I like roonlabs a lot but I do not need it. I just want to be able to play the files I have stored on my synology DS 213+ installed on the network.

Please let me know if you need any logs or other info.

The rune install is basic; I did not make any changes to the default setup. I played with buffer settings but no difference.

Much oblidged.

I'm using a non-dsd dac and connect to the Pi2 with hifiberry digi by coaxial cable.
My dac's - Metrum Musette specified that coaxial support up to 24,192kHz.
However, I can play DSD (with the DSD support DISABLED) file from runeaudio at DSD bit,352.8 kHz or 32bit,96kHz or 24bit,192kHz without any problem.

Rephrase my sentence.

However, I can play DSD file (.dsf) (with the DSD support DISABLED) from runeaudio at DSD bit,352.8 kHz or normal WAV file at 32bit,96kHz or 24bit,192kHz without any problem.

I'm using NFS connection for your information.

It appeared to be a network issue. An IP adress conflict.
Thanks for your replies
