Hello peeps,

I'm looking to upgrade the wall wart for my rpi3b, currently has IQAudio dac+, and official rpi touch screen.

I'm going to lose the screen and run headless, as it it rarely used.

The Specs are similar with 3A Instead of the required 2.5A.

Will half an amp be a problem?

And is anyone using/used one?

RPI feeding Roksan Kandy K2 Integrated/ TR5 S2 / With Mark Grant cables in case anyone is interested.

HI J4K,

This power supply is suitable for the Pi's used with RuneAudio. A 3Amp supply is recommended for the Pi 3B and Pi 3B+ models.
It is a linear power supply, this is a higher quality product than a switching power supply and should provide cleaner power. A switching supply would save you around $100, compared with this one. Not everyone is convinced that a linear power supply provides enough benefits to warrant the significant extra costs.
