HiFi Berry Digi support

Postby rost21A » 24 Jan 2014, 14:01

Hi
I have the "HiFiBerry Digi" ordered. This has been realized only brand new.
Will it be supported in RuneAudio?

That would be awesome!

As the Digi support is integrated in the standard kernel this should be relatively straightforward. I can support the Rune developers to get it running.

Hello hifiberry, we were indeed thinking about supporting I2S DACs from the next 0.3 release or at worse from 0.4, as many people are asking us this feature (and I would also like to try that). Your help is welcome in order to get it to work quickier.

Whoops, I forgot to update this thread... :?
I confirm that HiFiBerry DAC and Digi will be supported out of the box in the next 0.3-beta release coming soon.

First post here, been lurking for a while... ;)
I am also looking forward to I2S-support since I have a hifiberry, it's currently running V*lumio but think RuneAudio is more appealing!
With hifiberry everything is sounding great! Great buy! :D

Really appreciate all work you put in to this project!

I've just built my HifiBerry today. It's a bit of a leap to order the connectionless board with no adapters, but I wanted it to fit in a normal case and have phono out - this is a cheapo mixnmatch from https://www.modmypi.com but works very well. No raspberry pi components have been removed, and it all fits.

This is a really great how to enable the hifiberry in Rune - not mine but I found it helpful.
