help:adding a webradio thru UI

Postby jocoman » 02 Oct 2015, 02:15

New Rune user and I'm liking it.
I want to try out some webradio but I can't figure out how to do it.
How do i add a webradio station to My Webradios?
Sounds like a basic thing but i can't find anything to tell me how to do it .

Hi jocoman,

welcome to rune audio.

How do i add a webradio station to My Webradios?

What is your problem?

You have to enter a name and the stream url.
For example:
Radio name = Linn Radio
Radio url = http://radio.linnrecords.com/cast/tunei ... aylist.pls

The easiest way is to do it with dirble.
To do this you have to switch to our nightly builds, because dirble is not working on the stock images.

Hi jocoman,

Is there an image somewhere and i just copy to an SD card?

Not yet sorry, but it's easy to switch:

    1) Get access to the console

    2) delete the contents of /var/www (including hidden files)
DOUBLE CHECK the path before entering the command!

    Code: Select all
    rm -rf /var/www/{*,.*}

    3) clone the 'dev' branch on your device (notice the -b dev)

    Code: Select all
    git clone -b dev https://github.com/RuneAudio/RuneUI.git/ /var/www

    4) clear the PHP OPcache

    Code: Select all
    curl -s http://localhost/clear

    5) reboot your device

- Get access to the console::
There are two ways to get access to the console:
1.) plug in a monitor and a keyboard
2.) use SSH from your PC
If you are not familiar with SSH read this for Windows or this for Linux/MacOS
The default login for RuneAudio is "root" with the password "rune" (without quotes).
