Hardware Volume Control on Pi2 with Hifiberry DAC+

Postby leeshep » 08 May 2015, 23:36

Hi,

I've got my Raspberry Pi2 with a Hifiberry DAC + all set up and working with Rune Audio Beta 0.3.
I had to uncomment a line in the config file in order to get the Hifiberry to work but I can't get the volume control to do anything.
I've tried the various SSH command suggestions in the sticky thread on this forum but it still won't work.
Can anybody help?

Thanks in advance,

Lee

I think you have to edit config.txt.

[root@hifiberry ~]# cat /boot/config.txt |grep hifi
#device_tree_overlay=hifiberry-dac
device_tree_overlay=hifiberry-dacplus
#device_tree_overlay=hifiberry-digi
#device_tree_overlay=hifiberry-amp

after you edit the file you have to select the output in menu >MPD

ssh root@runeaudio
pass: rune

Hi,

I've already edited the config file and I have sound output through the DAC+. The problem I have is even though I have selected hardware volume control and applied the setting I can't adjust the volume. I have tried the fixes in the sticky thread above this but I can't get the volume control to do anything.
