No Sound from USB-DAC

Hello I'm running a Raspberry Pi with RubeAudio.
I get no sound when playing from this setup.
The USB-Dac is a WaveIO one it is visible as playback device in the MPD-setup.
any toughts?

Have you enabled that in the MPD section?
Are you using hardware or software volume control?
Please post a collected debug info via Pastebin.

I just discovered this RuneAudio player as well (I love it so far) but I'm having the same issue.

I'm using Raspberry Pi with a CM6631a based USB/S/PDIF converter... RaspberryPi Analog & HDMI Audio work fine but I get no sound from my DAC when I successfully switch to (USB2.0 High-Speed True HD Audio), regardless of volume control setting.

One thing that I just noticed is when I reboot the device with USB2.0 Audio...) selected, Volume control defaults to "disabled"

Any ideas?

Have you checked if the DAC is muted for some reason?
You can do that writing alsamixer in the command line, selecting your USB card from the list (after pressing F6) and see if the volume is muted. If it is, press M to unmute it.

No. The DAC is not muted and all levels are up.

Before I waste any more time on this, I'll rig a dedicated 5v DC to the CM6631a board to rule out low bus power as a possible issue.

You can try to change the device number manually in the mpd.conf

Sorry, I'm new to Linux. I'm sitting at the [root@runeaudio ~]# prompt but I have no idea how to view view or display alsa -l. (nor to edit "mpd.conf"). Is this something that's simple enough to explain here?
