Hi
My Raspberry Pi B+ arrived today with the Hifiberry DAC+. I installed Runeaudio and it appears to work, except that there's no sound because I can't change in runeaudio.local/mpd/ the Audio Output to the DAC. Only RaspberryPi AnalogOut and Raspberry Pi HDMI Out are listed.
This is possibly the same problem as Triodefreak encountered here
#51718 but I think it's not related to the HW Volume fix so I opened this up here (and nobody followed up on him).
I updated from git by following these instrcutions:
#547 and then the ones from this post
#517 to fix the hardware volume (except step 4 which says to change the audio output obviously as the DAC is still not listed).
The console output from the latter is the following:
[root@runeaudio ~]# redis-cli hset acards_details snd_rpi_hifiberry_dacplus "{\"sysname\":\"snd_rpi_hifiberry_dacplus\",\"extlabel\":\"HiFiBerry DAC+ (I²S)\",\"mixer_numid\":\"1\",\"mixer_control\":\"Playback Digital\",\"hwplatformid\":\"01\",\"type\":\"i2s\"}"
(integer) 1
[root@runeaudio ~]# refresh_ao

I confirmed that the DAC is working and hooked up correctly to the Raspberry Pi and the AV receiver which I'm using to test with the test tone generator Raspbian image from here
http://www.hifiberry.com/guides/sd-card-images/ which worked flawlessly.
So I think this must be a software problem of runeaudio which I am encountering or my inability / something I haven't done yet. I searched for instructions in the DOCS and here in the forum if there's anything else that has to be done (like installing some sort of driver or so) but couldn't find any hints. There are also no remarks on the Hifiberry website noted for the software support of runeaudio (except that it's supposed to work).
Thanks for any help!
Regards
Chris / ABBDVD
PS: I'm looking for some good, but not too expensive speakers here
