Hi,
thanks for your help.
Despite my limited linux knowledge I found a way to manage it manually via the command line. Maybe you can assist me to incorporate it in the USB auto mount config (??).
first I unmounted the USB HDD
umount /dev/sda1
created a new directory and mounted it there
mkdir /mnt/MPD/myhdd
sudo mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/MPD/myhdd
finally I created symbolic links to my /audiobooks and my /music folder into /mnt/MPD/USB
ln -s /mnt/MPD/myhdd/audiobooks/ /mnt/MPD/USB/
ln -s /mnt/MPD/myhdd/music/ /mnt/MPD/USB/
and rebuild the mpd library. This seems to today exactly what I needed. I just see these two folders in rune (and not the many others from my hdd).
Is there a problem with this method? Is there maybe a way to incorporate something like
"first automount all drives plugged into the USB (like implemented now)" and then "if (LABEL="HDD_extern" and UUID="04901BFF901BF5C0"){do all steps mentioned before}")
automatically in the automount config (or somewhere else)?
