adding song to playlist is adding everything

running raudio 1 • 20210120 on a pi 3b r1.2 that has a usb with a lot of music. the general structure is \artist\album\song. no issue going to
\artist\album\ and selecting add, etc. the issue I found was in a few dirs I have the structure \artist\song as well as \artist\album\song. for the visual let's say \rush\tom sawyer as well as \rush\moving pictures\tom sawyer (and rest of the album). if I select \rush\tom sawyer it gives me EVERYTHING in the \rush folder. instead of having 1 song on the playlist I have multiple songs added to playlist. saw this yesterday with something else, didn't understand but today went to another folder with the same setup and had the same result. I never noticed because 99% of the drive is a full album\what I want from a full album. I would understand if the playlist picked up all 'single' files at the \album\ dir but it's taking every sub dir at the \album\ dir

decided it was easier to show the information. test folder is

\Rush\01. Caravan (Single Version) - Rush - Caravan BU2B.mp3
\Rush\02. BU2B (Single Version) - Rush - Caravan BU2B.mp3
\Rush\Moving Pictures\01 Tom Sawyer - Rush - Moving Pictures .mp3
\Rush\Moving Pictures\02 Red Barchetta - Rush - Moving Pictures .mp3
\Rush\Moving Pictures\03 YYZ - Rush - Moving Pictures .mp3
\Rush\Moving Pictures\04 Limelight - Rush - Moving Pictures .mp3
\Rush\Moving Pictures\05 The Camera Eye - Rush - Moving Pictures .mp3
\Rush\Moving Pictures\06 Witch Hunt - Rush - Moving Pictures .mp3
\Rush\Moving Pictures\07 Vital Signs - Rush - Moving Pictures .mp3
\Rush\Moving Pictures\Rush - Moving Pictures.m3u

if I select either caravan or bu2b, everything shown will be added to playlist. so it's not even bu2b down, anything in the relative root of a dir will select everything. is this by design or does a large library impact how a playlist is created? the usb is a 256 gb with a library size of 31k songs

thanx for the update. problem solved

I remove all m3u play list (?) files when I have separate music files. I keep them if I have a single music file that contains multiple songs. What was your solution, if I may ask?

Edit: Got it, the update fixed things.
