A suggestion to the Runeadio, to create smaller downloads, save money and enable faster downloads:
Use XZ compression instead of Gzip.
I just tried this.
The 2GB imagefile compresses like this:

Original 2.0 GB
Gzip 974 MB 13 s
XZ 870 MB 25 s 104 MB smaller!
Not trying to incite a hole compression war here.
Yes, XZ is the lesser known. But it's supported on all platforms, for example by the popular free 7zip program. And yes, the decompression takes a bit longer.
But just the Raspberry Pi image has been downloaded 24327 times.
XZ compression would have saved 2.4
Terrabytes of data, which is a serious amount of data by any standard. Uploads simply cost money.
