spop crash: failed to load plugin

Tried to use spotify today.
Switching from MPD to SPOP from the UI is ok, and I can then see my playlists.
But can't manage to play something from there, the queue is populated, but playback does not show the track.

Noticed an error in the spop log, so I restarted the daemon with debug.
Ouput below:

The debug info you posted indicate a failure in opening the ALSA device located at Card 1 (which - I suppose, going by the other thread you opened) - is the NAD D 3020 Hybrid amplifier).
Can you please try to switch to one of the Raspberry's native outputs in the MPD page and try again to playback one of your Spotify playlists?
If that works, then it could be that your amplifier working as a DAC is not correctly recognized in ALSA - in which case some more debugging will be needed.

Yes I had the output configured the the NAD USB when I tried Spotify.

I was actually planning to do that test but didn't manage to find a suitable jack - RCA adapter this morning. Pretty sure I have one though so I will do the test tonight.

If you don't manage to find one, you could try with a headset (those that are tipically come with cellphones have a 3.5mm jack) and see if there's music piping though them

A good starting point would be to use Pastebin as explained in the opening post of the following thread: #502
No need to paste the whole debug info, if you don't feel like - the output text between the lines

should be enough.

Can now confirm spop happily sends sound to the Pi analog audio output.

But nothing on the USB output.

Note that I had to boot the Pi with the usb unplugged to get spotify work on the analog.

Thanks for having posted the debug info.
Taking a skin-deep look at the outputs it *should* be relatively easy to enable hw volume control for the NAD device.
The only thing which jumps out as odd is the mpc outputs command, which spits out a '166.error: Connection refused' message.
I'll send you a PM tomorrow in order to hopefully get this addressed (I'll need your help in changing some files on your RuneAudio device and conduct some tests).
That is, of course, only if you have some time available (should not take long, in any case.

This might be a side effect of having started the spopd daemon. Looking at the ps tree in the debug, spopd was started at the time i ran the debug capture, with one thread crashed yet.

Now If I run the debug before fiddling with spotify, I have :

MPD audio outputs status: (mpc outputs)
--------------------------------------------------
Output 1 (bcm2835 ALSA) is enabled
Output 2 (NAD USB Audio) is enabled

So yes, please PM me with additional instructions, and I can run some tests.
