0.3 beta Unable to create wireless profile

I am trying to create a wireless profile, but all I see on the configuration page is the title WIFI SSID CONFIGURATION and nothing else. How am I supposed to connect to my WPA secured wifi network?

I have :
- Tried different wifi dongles
- Tried updating from github and clearing browser cache

I believe there is a "Show" button/badge, try that....

What I am trying to say is that when I click on "SHOW" and "+ ADD NEW PROFILE", I am taken to a page titled "WiFi SSID CONFIGURATION". That's all there is. I assume this is where passwords etc should be input, but as I said there is nothing there.

I can confirm this behaviour. In my opionion, the WiFi part is the biggest problem of a very interesting version 0.3b.
As I heard, the developer will reorganise wifi. It would be great to use Runeaudio wireless. I know there are some wifi-solutions written in this forum for the last months.

I also can confirm this behavior. I cannot connect into my wireless network nor create a wireless profile.

After messing with wlan0 in terminal, this is how I managed to get my wireless working:

1) Login to runeaudio with terminal, do the following:
2) wpa_passphrase myESSID myPASSWD
3) copypaste the text to/etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf (delete #psk=myPASSWD -line in the wpa_supplicant.conf file)
4) wifi-menu -o

Done.

I also had same problem adding new wireless profile.

My workaround:
I found out that name of SSID was reason for blank "WiFi SSID CONFIGURATION" page.

After changing SSID name from "Fritz!Box1234" to "fb1234" (without "!") it works fine and I can add new wlan profile in WebUI.

Good info. Is it possible to rename SSID again by editing network settings at runeaudio? Or do I have to keep "fb1234" in my Fritzbox router?

I can confirm. I had no luck at all getting 0.3 (alpha or beta) to connect to my new D-Link router until I changed the name of the SSID and removed any spaces (which result in % in name) or other non alpha-numeric chars. I is now working with a simply SSID of DSL2890AL.

I'm still having this problem. My SSID was "Ted", but not visible. I set my router to broadcast the SSID, but I still get the blank page. It's a 5 Ghz network, and I have an 802.11n dongle, but my 802.11 laptop uses the network just fine.

It only works for me if I run the wireless network open, no security. Not a great solution. I don't like my network open.

You have to ssh into your pi from an other PC, or connect a monitor and keyboard.

SSH is built into Linux distributions and Mac OS, and a third-party SSH client is available for Windows. See the following guides for using SSH depending on the operating system used by the computer you are connecting from:

If there is a space in your SSID it will replace the whitespace with %. It doesn't happen every time maybe 8 or 9 times out of ten.

If this happens you can edit the config file from putty/terminal with the following command:

/etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf

Replace the the % with a space and check that your key is correct, then press Ctrl+x, y then enter to save and exit.

Reboot and it should connect.

I tried the nightly build. It now seems to build the profile but it won't connect wirelessly. What's interesting is that I took it to my friends house before I tried the nightly build and it connects to his wireless network no problem but still not mine. Somehow it has to be a setting on my router.

Hold on... I deleted the profile and created it again and now its connected. Thanks!
