Addons Menu - Install addons the easy way

As of 20190822, this has been integrated to RuneAudio+R e1

- Addons Menu for easy addons installation via RuneUI.
- It's the same as running on SSH terminal.
- Just much easier.
- Something like mini App Store or mini Play Store.
- It does nothing using zero CPU cycle unless run it from the menu.

Addons Menu installed OK, but when I try to install any of the options I get the message " sudo: /usr/bin/sudo must be owned by uid 0 and have the setuid bit set ".

Also, I have previously expanded the partition and installed enhancements. Should I run these options anyway to get the menu to sync, or could that do damage?

Please check permission and owner of sudo file:

ls -l /usr/bin/sudo
# it should be:
# -rwsr-xr-x 1 root root 119920 Nov  7  2015 /usr/bin/sudo

# if not "-rwsr-xr-x 1 root root":
chmod 4755 /usr/bin/sudo
chown root:root /usr/bin/sudo

Expand Partition: On install, it will only inform you if no available space left.
RuneUI Enhancement: Uninstall from ssh terminal then reinstall from this new Addons Menu.
Uninstall:

./uninstall_enha.sh

# or if installed before Mar 30, 2017
./uninstall.sh

Thanks, permissions were -rwxr and that has fixed it.

Would it be possible to have a notification that an install has completed?

Now the notification is on plus a lot of other improvements.

Update method has been switch from patch to uninstall-install.
If you installed Addons Menu before Sep 6, the update button will not work.
You have to uninstall by uninstall_addo.sh in SSH terminal then reinstall again.

Please try and report back.

I have re-installed the addons and enhancements packages without any problem, and it all seems to be working well. Will it be possible to do future kernel updates from this menu too?

It's great that you keep Rune moving forward while also making it easy to hide unused features, which is what makes Rune superior to its less purist siblings.

How would one develop an 'addon' for this module, as the youtube addon could benefit from it

I have accidentally discovered that with no volume control or cover display, touching top right, below the menu icon, leaves me with just the progress indicator in the middle of the play screen. I cannot find any reference to this in the forum and assume it is part of your enhancement package?

This result is just the layout I want, but it is easy to cancel it when aiming for the menu icon. Is there a way to lock this feature?

I've just finished a guideline for any enthusiasts to try.

Basically, we just need:

- working install/uninstall scripts(bash)
- a php array

Then we're good to go.

It's there in animated gifs. Tab / slide on the left / right edges for show / hide elements.

Thanks, I missed that. Is there any way to keep the setting after reboot, or make it the default?

Something seems to have broken. When I click Addons in the menu, I now get:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'version' (T_STRING) in /srv/http/addonslog.php on line 10

By the way, it's good to know that it runs on 0.4b. It'd be great if you could share your installed addons so I can add 0.4b to the compatible version.

I also have the Addons menu installed 0.4b. At the moment I'm only using the Backup-Restore and Extended Fonts add ons, both of which are very welcome.

One small thing, could the links for 'Details' open in a new window (target=_blank)? I know I can right-click and do this but having it set that way would be good.

I have expanded the partition, and installed: Backup-Restore Update, Fonts - Extended characters, RuneUI Enhancements. Also used Rank Mirror Package Servers.

I have the waves library modification installed too.

Small issue with Web Radio Import...sorted properly but the "Add New" needs/should be at the top (See attachment)

Backup/Restore add-on issue... I never got a prompt for storing the Backup. I havent tried to look at the script to see where it goes but would assume you should be able to stash it off Pi.

EDIT: Ok, went thru script, sort of see whats going on....for some reason it didnt work for me since there was an old backup already there, manually removed it, pressed the backup button and now have a current backup....

As it was still not working, I went through the clean up commands. This has removed the addons menu, but when I try to reinstall I get "Addons Menu already installed." and "Please try update instead."

How do I get around this?

I have now lost the enhancements addon.

The addon menu gave the options to update or uninstall the RuneUI Enhancements. Clicking on update removed the enhancement package and I cannot find a way to get it back. I have been through the Install Addons clean up and reinstall again but the enhancement button is still labelled update rather than install. If I click on update, it tells me the enhancements are already installed, and please try update instead. If I try uninstalling, it tells me RuneUI Enhancements are not found.
