I've flashed the same card 4 times with the same result.

Maybe I need to try another card. It is a 4GB card and is one I found lying around the house.

I'll get a bigger one tomorrow and try again.

Running into a consistant issue with Runeaudio installed on a Raspberry Pi 2 with 0.3 beta code and updated using gitpull

Each day the webgui will stop responding to inputs. SSH access is usually still working and I can issue sysctl command but I can't get the RPi2 to respond to webgui command past one day. I consistantly have to reboot the Pi. I have tried reinstalling from scratch and the issue persists. I have also tried to use runeaudio on a RPi model B and still no-go past a day.

Here is the debug content. Hoping this can shed some light to the problem. I'm very curious how some users have their system operational going 2 weeks without the need to reboot.

I am using wifi (2.4Ghz @ 300mbps) to stream from my PC share folder. Another odd issue I've noticed is the IP address registered to the Pi2 shows up with two IP (192.168.2.30, which is the static IP I setup with "runeaudio" as hostname and 192.168.2.55 which shows up with "RUNEAUDIO" as the hostname)

You wrote that the UI is not accessible, how did you get the debug info?
Is the debug info from before or after this happens?

I think your problems start here:

If this happens again, it would be helpful to get the output from:
- free
- df
- systemctl

You can solve this by executing this command:

systemctl disable dhcpcd.service

I had the same,
I use a fixed ip adress.. you also ?

what i did was stop the dhcp server with :
systemctl disable dhcpcd.service
and reboot my router and it seems the problem is gone.

Using static IP and issuing the command "systemctl disable dhcpcd.service" stopped the dual IP assignement I previously described, however, while connecting via ethernet cable, I've noticed the WebUI doesn't hang. Seems like the issue is with wifi connection, almost as if the usb wifi adapter is going to sleep and when I issue the "systemctl restart mpd" command the webUI instantly starts to respond.

Is there any way to auto run this command via script after a set interval ? My Archlinux abilities are quite limited.

usb wifi is TL-WN823N. Works out-of-the-box on Runeaudio without the need to tweak any settings/drivers

I followed the suggestions from this post and seems the wifi sleep issue is solved.

Hi,

I am really impressed by runeaudio...
But i have a problem with installing rpi.gpio.

First i did:

pacman --noconfirm -Syy python python-pip

this runs without a problem.

then i try:

pip install RPi.GPIO

here it stops with this error:
Command "/usr/bin/python -c "import setuptools, tokenize;__file__='/tmp/pip-build-1a6bldoz/RPi.GPIO/setup.py';exec(compile(getattr(tokenize, 'open', open)(__file__).read().replace('\r\n', '\n'), __file__, 'exec'))" install --record /tmp/pip-4szxtui4-record/install-record.txt --single-version-externally-managed --compile" failed with error code 1 in /tmp/pip-build-1a6bldoz/RPi.GPIO

Does anybody perhaps know a solution to get this fixed?

(I want to use gpio to shutdown the raspberry through a switch.)

I bought Amanero USB board for my DAC, and installed it on my PI 2. From now, I confirm it working good on RuneAudio with no driver required, no problem

Is RuneAudio a dead project, I don't see any new version for a long time. Same with Volumio.

Hi jonas18z, we've been very busy lately, so we had to delay the 0.4 release. Moreover, we are already working on the next version of RuneAudio which will introduce a huge code refactoring and many improvements. So please be patient because RuneAudio is alive and healthy

0.4 will be a transition release (and maybe not the last one) towards the huge code refactoring planned for the future (which is already work in progress, in parallel). So it will include all the features introduced so far in the 'dev' branch, plus other further fixes and improvements. Take a look at the issues on GitHub to have a rough idea on what's left to do in the next days...

After a gitpull update, the wifi sleep mode seems to persist ... leaving the Pi running overnight usually results in the UI not responsing on first attempt. I usually need to perform a shutdown.

Anyone else having wifi issues working with the webUI?
SSH seems to be functionaly ... I can reboot the Pi by issuing a "systemctl reboot" command

But connection is njot very stable (like in previous version too) - I need to restart (hard power off and on) Rasp time to time.

I conect the ES9018K2M DAC with I2S，I have the same problem with 16bit files playing，only noise.But 24bit/32bit can play fine.You find a way to solve it?Does anyone know the solution?

I will receive a Audio-gd NFB1 with Amanero Combo 384 USB Interface soon.

Is there a special way to installed it on my RPI2 or just plug RPI2 and DAC/Amanero via an USB cable (as I do for the moment with my NFB15 and its USB-32 chip) ?

Hello! Raspberry Pi 2 + PCM 5102 DSD files with the switched-off "support DSD" plays with breaks. In case of switched on "DSD support" of a sound isn't present generally. In what there can be a problem?
