Bug report 0.4 beta

morgengut

Hello,
the last days I had the time to setup my Raspberry 2 with a Wingoneer Digi card. All hardware is fully supported, including remote control of my Onkyo TX-RZ900. Now I'd like to report some bugs of the rune audio player.
1. Library view: Setup button for library home screen does not work
2. Library view: If you choose any tag button like Album, Artist, Genre and you play a track directly from the library, the back button returns to the home screen. If you don't play a track the button back works fine.
3. Library view: If you choose any tag button like Album, Artist, Genre and you choose Add, Replace and Play the queue is not cleared. The tracks are all merged to the current playlist. It works fine in USB storage view.
4. Replay gain in MPD settings does not work. After setting to ON and saving it turns back to OFF.
5. Library view: In genre the database points on some items to the wrong tracks. Database rebuild doen't fixes the problem.

At last I want to congratulate to a nice player. In contrast to Volumio it is very helpful that the connection between mpd playlist and queue is still granted. I hope my list can help you to improve your player.

Best regards

PS: I'm using the rune player version 0.4 beta (date 21.03.2016)

Hi Frank,

thank you for the link to the actual beta. I've tested my points so far.
Item 1: Button not working
Item 2: Fixed
Item 3: Fixed
Item 4: Now set correctly in MPD, but not working at all. Please check. I'm not really sure.
Item 5: Fixed

For completion of my items:
Lyrics are only triggered by starting the gui, should be triggered by changing the track in the playlist
Samba is not working out of the box, you have to start it via ssh

Nice:
Webradio entries are sorted in alphabetical order now
New tab "composer" is very helpful for classical music

Thank you very much, well done.

Hi,

1. Library view: Setup button for library home screen does not work

It does work, but not in the way you suggest.
I think the button should be renamed:
"Delete your bookmarks"

Bookmarks:
While browsing in file mode (NAS, USB or LocalStorage) you can add folders as bookmarks.
Check the context menu on each folder.

Item 4: Now set correctly in MPD, but not working at all. Please check. I'm not really sure.

Your music library is tagged accordingly?

replaygain <off or album or track or auto>
If specified, mpd will adjust the volume of songs played using ReplayGain tags. Setting this to "album" will adjust volume using the album's ReplayGain tags, while setting it to "track" will adjust it using the track ReplayGain tags. "auto" uses the track ReplayGain tags if random play is activated otherwise the album ReplayGain tags. Currently only FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, Musepack, and MP3 (through ID3v2 ReplayGain tags, not APEv2) are supported.

Hi Frank,
thank you for your reply. Unfortunally I'm not very familiar with replay gain, can you tell me what to do tagging my music library?
