In the link to mega, I find two different images for the rasptouch runeaudio 0.4. One is for the Winstar OLED and then another one. Also, one mentions RPI-DAC and the other HiFiBerry.
How do I know which one I have?
I guess RPI-DAC, but before I screw things up.... I thought I'd ask.

Hi,

if I do that I just get two google search results, one of which is from Audiophonics:

But looking at the mega link, I recognize it as the second one on the forum page. So it is the one with HiFiBerry.
Strange, but OK. I thought it would have been the RaspDAC (RPI-DAC?) version.

Hello Frank,

I've done all the steps meticulously according to the documentation.
All seems to have gone well with the installation. I've setup Spotify settings correctly.

I feel the whole system is more responsive this time. I guess my previous problems all started because the first time I turned on the RaspTouch, it was without eth-cable.

Anyway, I do have a problem. I get no sound. I can hear very faintly the music when I turn up the volume to max on my amp. But I cannot get sound out of the RaspTouch.

I noticed that with this newly flashed image, under MPD settings, there is a different choice in the audio output menu, namely HiFiBerry. In the image I got with the RaspTouch pre-installed from Audiophonics, it did not say HiFiBerry, but rather something with Sabre or RaspTouch, not sure anymore.

How can I get sound?

I am not sure what's wrong but when I turn up the volume knob on my amp, the cones of my speakers just come out, apart from a lot of noise and faintly hearing the music.
This tells me that there is a significant DC signal on the output from the RaspTouch.

Are there any special settings to set up with this image I flashed?

So, in the image the 'dtoverlay=hifiberry-dac' is uncommented and in yours it is commented.
However, if I comment that line, and reboot, and go to MPD setting menu, I can only choose between "Raspberry Pi Analog out" or "Raspberry Pi HDMI out".
There are no other options.

Is it not strange that in the overlays folder some of the values for dtoverlay do not appear?

For instance:
rpi-dac-overlay
Pi3-disable-bt-overlay

Should they not be in that folder?

I tried by commenting rpi-dac-overlay and uncommenting rpi-dac and now I get sound.

Question, is this ok? Or is this some suboptimal setting?

Maybe I should comment pi3-disable-bt-overlay too and uncomment pi3-disable-bt?

There is a pop sound when tracks change. Is there a known solution to that?

So, apart from popping the only question I have remaining is whether my config.txt is setup correctly or not, as explained in previous posts?

Good day guys,

Instead of starting a new thread, I thought I'd ask here first.

MPD works fine.

When I switch to spotify, it takes a bit, not much, but then it shows zero Favourites "Favourites (0)" and nothing else. Inside the favourites there is nothing. I have a premium account, and login information should be ok. I haven't changed it. It worked a week or two ago... I don't use spotify too often, but this is the first time I see that.

Any troubleshooting ideas?

I have now been listening quite a few hours and notice that sound popping occurs in Spotify each time a track changes in a playlist and in MPD each time I choose a new track manually.
I have set audio buffer to 20%, as it came by default from Audiophonics, but no help. Do you have other suggestions?

Regarding the config.txt, since I do not see a file called 'pi3-disable-bt-overlay', but one called 'pi3-disable-bt' only, I have set the dtoverlay parameter to that. Do you think that is okay?
