Spotify playback hangs and cannot switch back to MPD

kabux

Running the stable release on Rpi3 and have been constantly experiencing hangups when playing in Spotify mode. The RuneUI can be navigated but it fails to switch to MPD and to toggle the Spotify setting on/off as well. I have attached the debug data link. Thanks in advance for any inputs.

Hi kabux,

i think your problem is the wifi connection.

wlan0: flags=4163 mtu 1500
        inet 192.168.0.10 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255
        ether b8:27:eb:de:78:f8 txqueuelen 1000 (Ethernet)
        RX packets 23353 bytes 3376999 (3.2 MiB)
        RX errors 0 dropped 3505 overruns 0 frame 0
        TX packets 2837 bytes 776012 (757.8 KiB)
        TX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 carrier 0 collisions 0

dropped 3505

Beside this your debug data looks good.

- try ethernet instead (only for testing)
- disable internal and try external wifi

Thanks for the response Frank! I'll be running the system on wired connection to test stability and provide feedback. Would you suggest going the external wifi route for stability if going wireless? I understand the rpi3 is relatively new and it's hardware is not fully supported.
