nzlowie wroteI do have a green tick to say i have a network connection, its to 10.1.1.1 which is is my router. I also ran the network scanner and found runeaudio at 10.1.1.1. If i connect to this in a browser using the network cable it loads my router. Am I missing something simple here?
Thanks Dave
Hi Dave,
good, a green tick next to the cable connection and you have a network connection. Yes, your missing something.... your router AND your Raspberry Pi can NOT have the same IP address! This will cause conflicts on the network, anyway your router would not assign a network device the same IP address that it has itself or allow another network device to have the same IP address as itself. And, as 10.1.1.1 is your router's IP address, you can't use it for the Raspberry Pi/RuneAudio too.
I suggest you use a network cable to connect to your Raspberry Pi, go into the RuneAudio network settings and manually setup your
WiFi connection as such:
IP address: 10.1.1.50
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 10.1.1.1
You will also need to type in your WiFi network password. Do not change the settings for the network cable connection in RuneAudio, leave it set at auto.
After it's setup as above, you should be able to use your web browser to connect to RuneAudio with the IP address: 10.1.1.50
You may also try:
http://runeaudio or
http://runeaudio.local
When your sure your able to connect with the above IP address, then disconnect the network cable and try to connect using 10.1.1.50 again. As always, enjoy the music.

rastus.
PS: This should work unless the subnet mask is different to above.
