firefox stand alone Rune Client

mattra

Hi,

very happy with RuneAudio!

When I first opened the webclient in Firefox on my desktop, it asked if I wanted it to be installed as a stand alone app. I said no, but now I want to say yes. Because I did that on my laptop and I'm very happy with that. (Both are running Ubuntu 14.04)

How do I do that? I find no way to get that question again. Maybe I'm overlooking something?

Hi mattra, just clear the cookies from your browser (you can do it only for the RuneUI page) and you will be prompted again with the option.

Hi ACX,
Thanks, I'll do that. But I'm not at home now.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to have the option somewhere on the frontpage, or the client page?

This setting will be available as option in the new UI, without prompting the user like in the current implementation (which can be annoying).

Bad news,

This app will be disabled after you upgrade to a newer version of Firefox, which no longer includes a feature to run web apps separately from the browser.

It would be nice to have a standalone runeClient app (on linux

There are clients enough of course, but they don't offer al the functionality of RuneClient, which I like very much.
