Raffa2s wrote- What is the exact sequence of commands to start the script ?
When I test small python scripts, I log in using ssh, then I save them in my root directory, or a test directory I create under /root, for example /root/test. Then I make the script executable (... chmod +x <mynewscript.py>). Then run it to test (... python2 <mynewscript.py>). Like this:
mkdir /root/test
cd /root/test
nano <mynewscript.py> (and paste or edit the new file)
chmod +x <mynewscript.py>
python2 <mynewscript.py>
(the last line executes the script)

The easiest is just opening a file and pasting text into it.

One way is to create a unit file and a service, and then start the service using a systemctl command. You can find examples by searching in this forum. Not sure which one is appropriate for what you want to do, but that is what I did.
Search/find examples, follow them and modify them.
