Wireless network no IP [RESOLVED]

That command does give it an IP, and all seems to work fine. On reboot the IP is lost again. Any way to build that command into the booting process easily?

Hi,

this is strange, because "dhcpcd" should be called automatically.

You can try to enable the service:

systemctl enable dhcpcd

If this does not work you can try switching to "dhclient":

pacman -Sy dhclient

and then add DHCPClient='dhclient' to your wifi profiles.

I'm confused ...
A few weeks ago when I was having problems (you noticed 2 IP addresses in my debug report) and recommended that I disable dhcpcd.
I took that advice and now do it as a matter of course for rigs that I build for family & friends.
Currently I'm having IP address recognition problems with a rig at my brother's place (4 hours drive away)
My telephone calls with him are currently a test of my patience & knowledge as I need to dictate every key stroke he must make in order to find a solution.

Should I re-enable dhcpcd and use that as my standard solution in future?

Thanks as ever for yr tremendous support - both to me and many, many others - I wonder where RuneAudio would be without yr efforts?
