cron jobs on Raspberry

HI,

I would like to add a cron job on the Raspberry Pi and understand that cron is disabled. I read a post by Orion how to re-able it with two commands:

systemctl enable cronie
systemctl start cronie

I am using a Mac and know how to access the Raspberry Pi's Runeaudio area via SSH, but it seems I need SSHFS, which I tried with FUSE for Mac OS X in combination with Macfusion. Unfortunatelly I can't mount to Runeaudio, using the same parameters as with SSH. I don't really know very much about those things, just the basics and would need some help here.

I don't know this either

I know what a CRON job does, but it seems I don't know how to start CRON, so I read about in the forum here. Orion talked about starting it using SSHFS. I couldn't start CRON with his commands in other ways, so I guessed it would need SSHFS.

But it seems I don't need it anymore. I always had issues with the Raspberry's WiFi, so I thought about to ping it every minute. Then the WiFi-dongle won't fall asleep. But now I found an easier way, which I haven't thought about earlier: Just telling the WiFi USB adapter not to fall asleep. Simple and works fine at the moment.
