i2S port \ DAC SABRE MK2 ES 9018 HELP !!

Hi Frank
now all is OK....even the display backlight is working as it should ....at first I had a problem that
the screen went off and had difficulty getting it back working but I finally did it.. I presume that these sys commands
stay after rebooting.
Regarding the sabre ES9018mk2 is working fine with no problem at all..

I don't think that it is the DAC+, because it needs an I2C connection to work.
Hopefully "alvaron" will tell us the correct setting.

I asked and supposed the Hifi-Berry DAC Plus since in your code I saw this

the DAC is the Audiophonics ES9018Mk2 board....connected with just 4 i2s lines to the Pi3
the word lenght is 24 as instructed by you Frank !!!

I tried with my case for board ES9018K2M as following photos

I edit the /etc/mod.conf as Frank's instruction to add in "*:24:*" then restart MPD by command systemctl restart mpd that I have seen this

Click on MANUAL EDIT I have this.

Continue doing this but it failed that the MPD appeared as above photo

- select the Hifiberry DAC in the config.txt
do not enable I2S
- reboot
- got to MPD config page and select the DAC

I assumed that you already have this done

- make the changes to mpd.conf
- restart mpd with

systemctl restart mpd

- do not navigate to MPD config page
- try to play different files

If all works fine => make the changes to "/srv/http/db/redis_acards_details" and execute the commands on console

If it does not work we have to dig deeper.

Actually this morning I forgot to execute those commands that I have just done them as follows:

[root@runeaudio ~]# redis-cli del acards
(integer) 1
[root@runeaudio ~]# php /srv/http/db/redis_acards_details
Audio Cards database initialized
[root@runeaudio ~]#

But there is no sound after reboot ...Rune played the files well as seen on the screen.

I disconnected the wires of ES9018K2M dac board with RPi2 to feed it by Odroid C2 / i2s (header J7) that it runs perfectly

. Rune / MPD on C2 is set with HifiShield i2S.

Hi Frank ! I kept the same power supply, dac board, just disconnected the i2s pins (LRCK, BCK, DAT, GND) to plug in J7 of C2 ...it worked !

I bought 1 ES9018K2M board. For the 1st trial, I connected to RPi unsuccessfully so I complained with supplier, they offered me 2nd one

. Please advise me your address in PM, I will send one to you for your test.
