Problem on Raspberry Pi2

Hello,

I try to play with my Raspberry, but no sound and the volume knob is still at 100.
Also when I click play ... nothing happen.

I try with a USb Stick and some MP3 and Webradio.

I use this command too:

Ok, I update to a nightly build and check some settings .. now it is playing.

what are you doing?

Do you have a Hifiberry DAC+?
The commands you have entered are only for the hardware volume feature (Hifiberry DAC+).

I have analog audio!

You are using the analog output, so please try this:
- "MENU -> Mpd" and select HDMI as output
- "MENU -> Mpd" and select analog as output.

This all has nothing to do with the nightly builds.

thank you ... but when I use the "normal" image ... I have no sound on my Raspberry.
After upgrading to the last nightly build, it works.

I have analog audio first testing ... now I use a USB Soundcard:
HiHimeDIY DAC

It play now fine ... but on Spotify I have no volume control

Also overhere I have a problem with the raspberry Pi2. Connected to HDMI I choose that in the MPD settings (was pre selected but okay) but no sound. Added local files on NAS, interface says it is playing (but on 0kbps throughput "Stereo, 16 bit, 44.1 kHz, 0 kbps") and the progress circle displayed 00:00. Restart mpd from the options doesn't do anything at first glance but the suddenly it starts playing...

Could the initial volume setting (changed from -1 to 50 and back to -1 after confirming play) do something in this?

I had the same problem with my PI2, connected to my Samsung Smart TV through HDMI, no sound and no "time" progressing, output selected "HDMI output" in the MPD menu.
Even with the nightly build (0.4).
Switched the output to "Analog output" and everything started working (sound and time progressing).
Then I mounted an HiFiBerry DAC+, configured and everything worked out.
But I don't know why the HDMI output was not working.

Nope. But I concentrate now on the Pi B problem. After that I will gladly test it on the Pi 2 for you!

So had some spare time and swapped the Pi B microSD (in a converter) for a new full-size SD card, installed the latest RuneAudio for Pi2 on the microSD card and booted it up (with the by you mentioned changed parameter upfront in the config.txt). No go (stream doesn't start, no sound ofcourse). I then restarted MPD not really playing (counter stays on 0). Then I pressed the stop square button and pressed play button and presto, the stream started but the volume was very low (software knob is at 100).
I suspected the alsmixer setting (I was correct) but I could not find that in the Rune settings so I changed that via ssh and the alsamixer command.
Sound is good. Will try later an upgrade to nightly to get Dirble working and hoping the sound will not be as bad in that build as on the Pi 1 (see my other post).

PS. The image defaults to Analog out, is that normal?

After the upgrade the same problem as with the Pi1, the sound is very bad.**
Besides that I got an error message on the play web screen:

**Don't know what changed but after selecting another stream it sounds normal.
