marzie wroteI started over again, entered my spotify info, tried to change to spotify engine, it locked up, rebooted, now on the library page, spotify says "music for everyone" and on the playback page it tells me the spotify engine is active. However clicking spotify in the library results in a spinning wheel, nothing else. I'm done with this. I'm moving to internet radio and local storage and stopping this madness. I will be back to the crappy Volumio soon... so sad! I love rune! so much prettier than Volumio! I don't know why this is going so badly! The first time I installed rune it was seamless, no problems!
I can't help with Spotify, but at this point I would open a bug report for the UI problems. I have had some issues, but 99% of the time, it is working fine for me with hardware similar to yours.
You have put so much time into this already, another post in the section for Bug Reports won't hurt anything.
As I said before, I would start with a fresh SD card if you have one, keep this one for comparison, and try to get the Rune UI to work with a flash drive only, no shares, no NAS music sources, no Spotify.
Assuming the installation and update process went well, you should be able to open Dirble in the library and play some of the radio stations under that source (quite a few Dirble links are broken, so try more than one).
