Connection & Reproduction Problems

Hello
I'm trying to solve some issues:
My Configuration :
Raspberry P2 model B connected to the network by wi-fi dongle (random IP address )
HDD x 2 -usb 3.0- conf. raid 1- part. FAT 32 - 3 TB
Unfortunately i'm not able to connect to Runeaudio at first shot with my macbook and sometime it does'n connect at all so. , i have to close and re-open the browser ( the connection is wireless as well ). If i try to use the IP addres instead of http:// runeaudio.local i get the same result.. . My wifi network is ok . signal strengh very good.. Something about my browser ?? What do you think ??
The second point concerning the player..
The infos about flac files and cover art are showing on screen every time i create a playlist in the queue and the play starts , but... Rune Audio goes in a kind of " freeze" if i leave the macbook for a little while... If i re-open it , the files informations are blocked on first tracks and remains the same even if i go to the next song.. Sometime i cannot acces to the HDD as well..it depends..
What do you suggest me?? Could be a network connection problem?? My ext HDD ( i don't think so ..) ??

please first answer this questions:

- your USB hdd is connected to the Pi?
- which browser?
- did you try a different browser?

Yes it is...is connectedby USB to the Raspberry

Hi ,

here are a few things you can try:

- update RuneAudio
Get access to the console and execute

cd /srv/http/
git stash
git pull

After a reboot go to MENU->Sources and turn off "Library auto rebuild".
With a huge music library on a usb hdd mpd needs some time to rebuild the database.
When you switch this off you have to manually rebuild the database each time you add new songs.

- try different browsers

- Get access to the console::
There are two ways to get access to the console:

1.) plug in a monitor and a keyboard
2.) use SSH from your PC
- If you are not familiar with SSH read this for Windows or this for Linux/MacOS
  The default login for RuneAudio is "root" with the password "rune" (without quotes).

I know how to use SSH
The code is for the update of RuneAudio isn't it? If i remember well once i go to the main menu of the software there is an option to allow the automatic update ... i'm not 100% sure... anyway
I think the first reasonable thing to do is switch of the automatic library rebuild ...tha't what i'll do first of all.
I'll let you know ASAP
