Thanks for all the hard work Frank. The image would have worked fine for me but I had an issue with one of the ribbon cables on my display which I have now sorted and I'm finally up and running.

One thing I have noticed and as a Linux Noob I'm not sure of the significance, I am seeing a couple of messages ...

ldconfig: /usr/lib/libcurses.so.5 is not a symbolic link
ldconfig: /usr/lib/libncursesw.so.5 is not a symbolic link

Hi Frank,

Excellent work on this I have been searching for the best software to use since I got my Pi screen and I think you have nailed it.

The only thing I cannot get to work is the rotary encoder with my Pi-DigiAMP+. I have had this working fine on Volumio.

I am also a complete Linux noob but think it might be related to this: alsamixer does not run and I also get "alsamixer: error while loading shared libraries: libformw.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

I got a setup working right now on a Pi with runeaudio on the cubietruck. Would be nice to integrate it.

Off topic... How can I setup the wireless manually of the cubietruck? It doesn't hold it in rune ui.

Might be an idea to run a batch to turn of the screen prior to shutting down the rest of the system using:

xset dpms force off

Secondly i've adjusted the code in /root/.xinitrc

xset -dpms

xset dpms 0 0 7200

This in order to increase the lifespan of the display. It will shut down the display after two hours of inactivity on the display. It will switch back on immediately when touching the display.

And third I cant turn off the system from the touch display I just get a blank popup.

Furthermore a nice bootsplash like the Runeaudio logo would be cool.

*edit changed the timeout for dpms to 0 0 7200 instead of 7200 7200 7200

I am not seeing this on the github of runeaudio will this be ever merged with master? I would say as the kernel is very recent to support the display it is unlikely to be merged with master in the near future ?

I just have a little problem: At every start I have to login with root / rune and startx to get started
is there an option to start directly? I don't want a keyboard on my player.

Go to the settings page (MENU->Settings->Local browser) and enable it.

Based on the image I was inspired enough to purchase the touchscreen. I plan to use my IQAudio DAC as it already has the power pins on it.

It should arrive soon so I will give it a go hopefully on the weekend.

Is there any screenshots of what the interface looks like in the meantime?

I am very grateful for your work as I believe it represents the future of the player. Whilst controlling the interface by MPD or a web browser works for a lot of people, there are a number in my household who need an interface they can just touch.

Local browser “On” sure

After a few hours with the Touch I noticed some bugs.

1. sometime after fast touching (to delete songs from the Playlist) I got a white screen and there is no coming back without a extern keyboard (Strg+W+E)

2. often I have to touch some Buttons twice (Play,Stop,Next,Prev) or more times (Queue, Library,Playback) to get a respond. But you can see (http://localhost/#...) in the left corner after the first touch but nothing happens. The same with the (Play,Stop,Next,Prev) at the first touch it changes the color but no respond.

What can I do?
