updating db every time starting

neanderthaler

My runeaudio is updating mpd's db every time it's booted.
I think this is happening since I did a git pull about two weeks ago.
System is Raspi B+ (not 2). BTW, autoupdate is switched off.
Any ideas?
(Hopefully my boss is not reading about this problem - just convinced him to give this totally hassle free livingroom solution a try

Hi Klaus,

My runeaudio is updating mpd's db every time it's booted.

Where is your music stored (NAS / USB drive)?
If it's on a usb disc then this is the normal behavior (even before git update).
You can try to enable this line.
The idea behind this is to get the database updated then inserting a usb stick.
We have to find a way to disable this through the UI.

BTW: You are german and radio amateur?

Hi Frank,

thanks for your response.
Ja, music is on USB disc, which is already connected when booting.
Maybe that behaviour was before git update, but I never took a notice. Strange.

So I'll disable that line #62 and report here.

Achso: Deutsch, kein Funker, und nicht Klaus - das war nur ein Gruß an den Chef...

Have a good night,

Hi all,

Frank's hint did the trick - no more updating on startup!
Nevertheless, manual updating still works.
And to whom it may concern: You'll find this mysterious file "usbmount" in /srv/http/command/
Just add // to line 62, so it reads:

// sendMpdCommand($mpd, 'update USB');

Thanks!
