Hi,
i made some tests with Raspberry Pi B and B+.
Both work as expected.
My wifi dongle is:
Edimax Technology Co., Ltd EW-7811Un 802.11n Wireless Adapter [Realtek RTL8188CUS]
What i have done is:
- downloaded latest image from
here.
- copied it to my sd card
- connected all cables and usb devices
- booted the Pi
- figured out the IP address (router)
- connected to my device via ssh (putty on Windows7)
- executed the commands as supposed
here.
- rebooted
- connected via browser to my device
- navigated to menu->network

- NW1.jpg (105.63 KiB) Viewed 2160 times
- after the scan has finished i clicked on the SSID i want connect to

- NW2.jpg (127.07 KiB) Viewed 2160 times
- entered all necessary data

- NW3.jpg (101.59 KiB) Viewed 2160 times
- saved the profile
- after a few seconds the scan shows that i'm connected

- NW4.jpg (133.43 KiB) Viewed 2160 times
- connected via browser to my device (using the wlan0 IP)
- pulled the ethernet cable
- rebooted via menu->Turn off

- NW5.jpg (113.49 KiB) Viewed 2160 times
And my Pi comes up with wifi connection.
Then i plug in the ethernet cable my Pi activates eth0 and gets an IP.
I can do all this with DHCP or static IP.
BTW: what do you mean with "BT Hub 4 authentication over wifi"?
