Mounting NAS drive

Postby stf337 » 04 Jan 2015, 17:35

I have Raspberry Pi B+ with HifI Berry DAC+ .It sounds amazing with Internet radio and USB mounts but I cannot work out how to do the NAS drive mounting. I bought a Seagate Central 2TB NAS drive and have connected it via ethernet cable to the router - I entered the NAS drive IP address into Rune Audio but it gives me error message;

"retrying with upper case share name mount error (6): No such device or address. Refer to the mount.cifs(8)manual page (eg. man mount.cifs)"

Not sure what to do next

Thanks

Hi,

you have to configure a share on your NAS.
It's not for your SEAGATE, but it may help you to figure out what to do.

Thanks , I had a look but do I need NFS or SMB to be selected on Rune audio sources configuration? I am concerned that Seagate NAS does not support the protocol that is necessary?
