[Addon] RuneUI Enhancement

In my case, enhanced runeUI works properly only with network mount interface. Spotify or airplay interface shows no information about played song. Nevertheless thanks for this work. I need such an optimized interface to able to operate runeaudio via 7" touchscreen and will wait for further bugfixes.

Could you please tell us (me) what your problems are.
I ask this because I have no problems with my 7" tft.

But I am open to good ideas on how to enhance the actual UI for better use on small displays.

Starting airplay on iphone
(Please also note that before starting airplay I have to apply following fix "plughw" to /usr/lib/systemd/system/shairport.service otherwise I hear just some kind of distortion from speakers)

I'm sorry to send separate posts due to 3 images limit but finally I would like to express that
in my opinion Enhanced RuneUI looks best with zoom-level=1.25 @ /root/.config/midori/config

Album cover can even be larger in future updates, maybe fill right 50% of the screen completely, track information can be shifted to left side and share the left 50% of the screen with time knob.

Airplay issue was fixed.
Anyway on my RPi, the UI will keep spinning on refresh/update until the track was changed. It happened on both default UI and the enhancement.

Please reinstall and report back.

Airplay and Spotify interfaces have been fixed after reinstalling Enhanced RuneUI. Now everyting works fine. Thank you so much for your efforts and quick response.

I'm not sure if it is related with Enhanced RuneUI, but I noticed "spinning dots" while changing from airplay -> to spotify interface. Solved it by using following path: airplay -> local network -> spotify. So not a big issue.

Another point is during re-installation I was not asked for screen size and after installation zoom-level of midori was set to "nothing" that line was just "zoom-level= " and text in local browser was very small. I changed it as "zoom-level=1.25" manually.

Finally a question but not directly related to enhanced RuneUI: I've set the 7" raspberry pi screen to sleep after 10 minutes of inactivity. Is there any way to wake it up remotely from iphone or computer browser?

RuneUI Enhancement Major Upgrade

Library and Queue Enhancement:
- Breadcrumb links
- Index bar
- Better Sorting

Those installed via SSH terminal should uninstall it first.

uninstall_enha.sh

Then reinstall this latest version from Addons Menu.

R101 wrote The alphabetical selection bar does not display correctly in my 7" Android tablet. Either the last 3 letters are off the screen, or only alternate letters are displayed. I have not worked out what causes the variation - at the moment it seems random. This problem does not occur in Firefox.

Another bug which shows up in both systems is that a radio station name is displayed on top of other information in the playlist entry.

Index Bar
- Clipped: please update and report
- Full range / alternate letters: switch at 500px height

Radio station name
- It probably comes with MPD upgrade. (It's more like a feature of MPD.)
- DSD sampling metadata have changed as well. (fixed with the update)

Thanks rern. The alternate letters display seems consistent now and the playlist problem is fixed too.

Small but annoying issue (Chrome browser on PC, RPi2 Rune 0.4 image, updated kernel, updated MPD, AddOns):

If in Browse Library panel you use "search in DB..." (NAS over ethernet in my case) and afterwards close search results to return to normal library browsing - index bar covers action menus ("hamburgers") of all items in your library list. This makes almost impossible to access action menu of library list items. Page refresh do restore initial normal list state (list items with visible action menu "hamburgers" and index bar), but it is a clumsy way to recover...

...and if I may suggest further:

When you browse big list of artists/albums/folders then open some artist/album/folder and afterwards go back to the big list - you are always brought to the top of the big list and you have to scroll back to where you have been before. I would very much appreciate if going back would return you to the exact place where you have been before entering artist/album/folder item...

I updated the enhancements today, and the result was that the browser stopped working. Just the rotating symbols appear. The previous state was stable, so I reverted to a backup image.

One other very minor bug to report: with a 7" Android tablet in portrait mode, the scrolling info characters have the descenders cut off. OK in landscape mode.
Edit: To clarify, this only occurs when the characters are scrolling. If the string is short enough not to need scrolling, the characters display correctly.

Latest update seems to have broke me....just get the "Connecting" spinner. So far nothing has fixed me...argh

I can get to the various pages thru /dev but the main Panel page just gets me the spinner. Any quick fix? TIA

Try:
If Addons Menu is still accessible, uninstall then reinstall.
Otherwise, SSH:

# uninstall
uninstall_enha.sh

# refresh browser - if still broken, get original playback.php file
wget https://github.com/rern/RuneAudio/raw/master/Rune04_http/app/templates/playback.php -P /srv/http/app/templates

I saw that, but my problem still exist.

To be sure I just install a fresh copy of 0.4b build 20170229.
-Installed Addon menu - successfully.
-Installed RuneUI - successfully.
-Return to the Browser - endless spinning

I revert the installation with "uninstall_enha.sh"

Sorry rern, but I am not clear about the situation.

My version (20171128) of addons menu works perfectly well so long as I do not update the enhancements addon. Should I now be able to update enhancements without problems, or is the spinner problem due to something which is not corrected by the automatic addons update?

Addons was updated when I clicked the menu today so I tried updating the enhancements. This resulted in the spinning symbols again, so I reverted to the previous working image. I am not sure whether you are saying the uninstall/reinstall of addons is needed even if if Rune is working, or just for those stuck with a non-working installation.
