Camilla DSP

Hi,

Just one quick question : is Camilla DSP working in the latest version of RuneAudio ?
Me, I am playing with Camila DSP settings.
But I can hear absolutely NO difference in sound.

The normal equalizer works OK.

If it is supposed to work, anyone can point me out to why it has no effect here ?

Regards.

Hi,

Replying to myself...

It is obvious that Camilla DSP is not working properly.
I have another software that can send files with direct DSP effects applied (it is called Neutron).

And switching from a PEQ profile to another is immediately hearable...

The fact that the "gain" setting in Camilla DSP does have no efect on volume is a good hint that it is not working.

Of course, it may require something to be enabled to work, but if so, I must say that I am too noobish to find out what that may be...

Regards.

Hi,

Replying to myself again.

After a reboot of my Pi4, RuneAudio suddenly stopped being able to power on the Pi.
So I downloaded RuneAudio again and flashed it to SD Card again.
I then rebooted the Pi4.

Out of curiosity, I enabled and Camilla DSP and looked at it...

Surprise surprise : it is now working as it should (at least taht does sound like it does).
Go figure :-)

So I take it all back : Camilla DSP is indeed working :-)

So I can enjoy Rune Audio on it's own.

Regards.

FRED

What am I missing by not have Camilla DSP enabled? I actually turned it off when I noticed some bass distortion on Amy Winehouse's "You Know I'm No Good". I'm using a PI 2B, so maybe it's processing power is overtaxed?
