hey john. I'm just a user but my suggestion would be see if you can hook up a monitor to the pi directly to watch things boot up and also hardwire it into your network. from there, are you able to set config like static ip address on both wired and wireless that survive a few reboots? the other thing to try is once you get in, run the update to the latest version. hopefully something in that list helps you
