Custom color: same as yesterday (https://www.runeaudio.com/forum/runeaudio-r-e4-t7084-100.html#p29986)

Oops! Missed that one. Fixed.

I have just installed RuneAudio+R e4 on my USBBridge Signature/Katana DAC, but when I activate Chromium nothing is displayed on my HDMI 1920x1080 display from Waveshare ...

I followed the Waveshare advice and I added the following in my config.txt:
max_framebuffer_height=1920
max_usb_current=1
config_hdmi_boost=10
hdmi_group=2
hdmi_force_hotplug=1
hdmi_mode=87
hdmi_timings=1080 1 26 4 50 1920 1 8 2 6 0 0 0 60 0 135580000 3

But it does not help: when I check the status of Chromium using a ssh console, I can only see that it is not started. When I type "startx", I get the fatal error "no screens found(EE)". As I have no programming knowledge, I would be grateful if someone could help me to work out this issue (my screen works on Moode and Volumio, so I assume that it is linked to some missing configuration in RuneAudio).

HDMI displays need no setup.
Try connecting your RPi to a TV or a monitor. RuneAudio logo will show after 30 seconds or so followed by Chromium. Otherwise download the image file and start over again.
(For RPi 4, HDMI must be connected before power on.)

@rern,

The latest update is working well for me, but the problem of having to choose whether to have the volume control or the cover art on the playback page is still there. If I disable the cover art, the disabled volume control appears.

I am also still getting glitches in the sound as I move around the GUI. This is with a wifi connection showing 100% quality. Does anyone else get this?

Update Re4 20200726

The thumbnails in the coverart library view are missing. The entries are present and it's also possible to click on an invisible coverart to select an album.

Edit: After some clicking back and forth the thumbnails are back again.

Edit 2: Some clicks later the thumbnails are gone again, ..., and come back again.

Holy crap!

The latest update fixed the two issues I brought up....

NAS shares not working and top and bottom bars on full size browsers with swiping on mobile browsers.

I can't believe things got fixed that fast.

An Observation:
If the thumbnails are invisible in the coverart view, I select an album as a new playlist and the thumbnails are back again. Clearing the playlist and refreshing the browser window (F5) and the thumbnails vanish. Tested with Firefox and Chrome.

@rern

I find that the previous/next track buttons do not work correctly. They jump to a random track in the playlist.

Have noticed when streaming from Spotify it displays as being streamed at 48KHz, but Spotify is 44Khz? Can you amend this if poss? I'm aware there may be a few tracks that play at 48Khz on Spotify but very few compared to the amount of 44KHz tracks, and I believe it would be better to set at 44Khz if there is no way to detect what is being provided and automate the change in Rune? ...

My DAC detects more of 48kHz than not. There's no info on how to detect it from each tracks.

Have to agree to disagree sorry, It will ALWAYS output at 48 kHz for you as its hard-coded into asla.conf in the build?
"defaults.pcm.dmix.rate 48000"

Not to worry as I can change it myself, but it is wrong. Spotify is mostly 44kHz, check Volumio, check Moode, both output Spotify at 44 kHz.

Thanks again tho for the build and the quick updates :)

@R101 @RolandBlaze
To assist rern in identifying the problem, please post your playback settings.
Here a mine (both volume control and coverart are present (plus time):
Checked are: "Time", "WebRadio elapsed", "Cover art", "Volume"
