I too was unable to render the MPD page after the update to 20200501 yesterday. However I can confirm that disabling the DAC in the System page, allowing the PI to reboot and then re-enabling the DAC followed by another reboot DOES allow the MPD page to render for me - all the reboots were automatically started following each of these changes.

I don't have any of the problems reported by Klassicman other than:

Addons menu: Version string stayed at "20200418"

Wouldn't it have been better, given that a reflash of the SD card is required, to bump this version to RuneAudio+Re4 ?

I haven't, as yet, tried any of the new featurers of the release though.

Regards.

Chris

All the usual problems getting the wifi working, plus I had to enable netctl. Is this version for wired connection only?

If I recall correctly, your SSID is hidden, isn'i it? Try show it as normal and connect R+R e3 again.
Tips: Debunking Myths: Is Hiding Your Wireless SSID Really More Secure? (If not, it's still worth reading though.)

Or post results of:
Code: Select all
ifconfig
iwlist wlan0 scan

I have a hidden SSID and fixed IP, but not because I have any delusion that it is more secure. I just prefer it that way. The add-network form has tick boxes for both options which I feel should work.

I have a working system, so if nobody else has any problems, I am happy to just register the surplus pause icon for Webradio playback as a bug.

Thanks for all your work, rern.

The "gigantic" radio buttons and check-boxes are still present using Firefox. Crome and Edge are unaffected.

Hi Rern,

Working great for me, very stable.

Just a bug for me:

Albums are playing as if set on repeat. (They arn't set to do so, I checked)

Thankyou for the update.

Just updated to e3 20200502:

Everything is working fine.
May thanks for your outstanding performance.

Coming from the latest “upgradable” version of e3, restore of bookmarks, webradios, mpd.db and lirc config files was working perfectly. I simply had to install IR tools (pacman -S lirc lirc-utils) and adopt /boot/config.txt (dtoverlay=gpio-ir,gpio_pin=NN) first. Before restoring mpd.db it is wise to mount the music repositories on the same place as before ;-)
irexec autostart bug is still present in the latest archlinux package but is easy to fix (https://sourceforge.net/p/lirc/tickets/156/)

Usage of ~/.ssh/authorized_keys is working without any modification.

No problems with HW volume control and DSD (thanks rern) with my tricky Pro-Ject DAC Box S2+.
Will do test with my other DACS, DragonFly RED and Pro-Ject pre box S2, soon.

Greetings from slowly awaking Austria

I've updated to the latest version and restored settings. However, I cannot enable onboard Audio. After reboot, its disabled again.

manually adding "dtparam=audio=on" to config.txt solved the issue

I have to modify my first assessment: The Firefox problem is resolved on Android, but not on Win10 and Firefox 75.0.

In the library view, the summary on the right side of the album art has disappeared for some files.
Top image is a CD-rip without album art embedded, bottom image is a download that does have the album art embedded.

Thx in advance.
