Can i make this work with rune? There is a NXP 1334A DAC chip that plays fine in Volumio (also dsd) but prefer runeaudio. Raspiaudio support stopped answering after i asked for settings in rune.

Maybe someone will chime in that has done it with exactly your board, but a listing on Adafruit states: "This fully-featured UDA1334A I2S Stereo DAC breakout is a perfect match for any I2S-output audio interface". I'm running the 0.4v of Rune with a generic I2S output, 2ch RCA line level to my traditional stereo preamp. Can you image a 2nd SD card and give it a try so as to not risk what setup you are using at the moment?

If "...enable I2S DAC, choose Model pHat DAC (all I2S dac are compatible) save en reboot." works for Volumio, it may also work with RuneAudio

Find more here(down the bottom of the page)... https://www.raspiaudio.com/home

Or, "Soldered it up in no time, and just selected "Hifiberry DAC +Light" in picore player..."

Edit: The chip (1334A) is a 24Bit/96kHz DAC, missing out on 24Bit/192kHz and higher.

Thanks for the information!

I tried RuneAudio 0.5-beta, RuneAudio+R e2 and moOde on a Pi3b+, got it working up to 96kHz.
I tried different I2S settings with the same result.

In Volumio there's a own I2S for this DAC - following the guide isn't enough:
instead of using pHAT DAC go for raspiaudio.
Then files above 96kHz (dsd included) play fine.

This setting is not available till yet in Rune or moOde but i asked the Developer if he would add it - so maybe ....
