I'd like to stream Tidal to my living room amplifier. Would I be able to to that with Runeaudio?

I wasn't able to yield any answer while searching.

Thanks

Thanks, professor. Let me know if you find anything recent/useful in these; I didn't when I searched.

I use BubbleUPnP for Android with my Qobuz account and use RuneAudio as a DLNA render device.
It works extremely well.
BubbleUPnP also has Tidal support, which I have never tried since I do not have a Tidal account, but I have no reason to believe it should not work as well.

I can seriously recommend a try.

Thanks for your answer. Do you get meta data of the songs that are playing? I use Tidal with BubbleUpNP but only see the song name, not the artist nor the cover.

Hi All,

I am not able to configure properly RuneAudio to stream tidal from BubbleUPnP. I am using the RuneAudio+R e6 release..In that release there is only UPnP button to switch on/off, no credential to add a in the previus release.
The message I get is the following:
Code: Select all
● upmpdcli.service - UPnP Renderer front-end to MPD
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/upmpdcli.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)
Drop-In: /etc/systemd/system/upmpdcli.service.d
└─override.conf
Active: activating (auto-restart) (Result: exit-code) since Sat 2021-11-06 14:44:21 CET; 37s ago
Process: 14882 ExecStart=/usr/bin/taskset -c 3 /usr/bin/upmpdcli -c /etc/upmpdcli.conf (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE)
Main PID: 14882 (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE)
CPU: 34ms

BubbleUPnP detect the raspberry, but fail to read a song when I choose the library from Tidal and it seems it requires some credential.....
I tried to configure /etc/upmpdcli.conf myself with the help of some advice I found here and there...but my skills are unfortunately a bit limited.
If anyone has already setup tidal to run with BubbleUpnP + rune, I am in interested in knowing the way ;-)
THank you

You can, but you will need a suitable control point, like Linn Kazoo or Android BubbleUPnP. Check out the info on the current BubbleUPnP Server version (https://bubblesoftapps.com/bubbleupnpse ... gelog.html), which now supports the OAuth protocol that Tidal requires. Basically, you need to get the BubbleUPnP Server logged in via BubbleUPnP on Android, then you can log in on whatever UPnP control point software you want to use. Fiddly, but it works. Unless the Rune people want to go through the grief of getting this to work native for Rune, that's it. Personally, I use a control point which allows me to select/control any of my Rune players, which all refer to the same media server and bubbleupnp server.

Hello
Thank you for you reply
I have already tried with BubbleUPnP (last version) and the device is visible from the app, so it works well. But I when I try to play a song, there is an error, it seems it is login related in Runeaudio....
