This version is the latest and greatest for all including the RPi4:

Thanks for the pointer to rAudio-1, but I haven't had luck with that version.

Is development on this branch dead? If so, I'm tempted to try a Pi 4 build myself. None of the more recent versions have matched the reliability or speed of this version. At least not for me.

It looks like it.

Hi, Which version of RuneAudio should I install on my new Pi 4B?
Thanks.

Use this version https://github.com/rern/rAudio-1

RuneAudio 0.5 was probably my longest tenured image and it worked well for me. RuneAudio+Re6 added a number of enhancements that I now consider indispensable (Bluetooth, automatic updates) so I upgraded. It now goes by the name rAudio.

Hi Ears, Thanks for the fast reply. That should work fine for me and I am looking forward to the BT 5.0 of the Pi 4B

Both +Re6 and rAudio-1 are fan made versions of RuneAudio, and are very good with so many more extras than the original developers versions.

Hi, I have tried out the rAudio 1 version which I was able to stumble into installing and running. I am new to the Pi...
I am seeing an issue with the Android connection and I do not know where I can find user help or documents on this.
The Android app cannot see my setup (but the http:// one works nicely on WLAN). Android app is kind of a must.
Is there some setup covering this? Sorry, this is probably a greenhorn issue...
Thanks, Julian

Julian M1, are you able to access the player by entering the ip address into a browser? Are you referring to the official ”RuneAudio" app from the Google play store? Rather than use the app I bookmark the ip address and add it to the home screen of each of my devices. I don't think the app adds much value other than enabling volume control from the device when in software mixer mode which I don't enable.

I did pull up the app just to see if it works with rAudio. From my experience it never successfully finds the player on first launch. Instead I swipe from the left screen edge and then at the bottom tap "support and credits" followed by "manually add". Enter your device ip address and add.

In summary the app works if you know the ip address. But if you already know the ip address then browser access is good enough for me.

the "app" works just fine using IP.....swipe from left edge to the right and you can enter it in. HTH
